In response to a violent crime against an elderly New York City resident, the NYPD’s Community Affairs Bureau started Senior Safe, a new program aimed at protecting senior citizens. As part of this safety initiative, the NYPD has made plans to distribute bracelets with the personal safety keychain alarm attached, to every senior center in the city.
