Customization is what separates Crestline’s products from retail products. Your customization is the most important part of your purchase with Crestline. Because of this, there are a lot of questions that come up in regards to artwork, and how customization of products works. We want to help you understand the process and clear up any information that may be unclear to you.

We asked James, one of our promotional products experts (PPE), what a few frequently asked questions are regarding artwork and customization and he helped us put together all of the answers right here for you.

What image file do you need for artwork?

Preferred Art File Types

Above you will see the preferred file types for your artwork. If you are worried about the quality of your artwork or do not have access to a high-resolution file, our graphics will do whatever they can to make what you have work. If you have questions about whether or not your art file is compatible, just ask one our PPEs.

Do we get to see a proof before ordering?

Absolutely! We send digital samples of any items you are interested in with your desired artwork. If there is anything that doesn’t look right to you on the proof or if seeing a proof makes you change your mind about the product, the PPE that you are working with can help you make any changes you wish or help you find an alternate product. An order NEVER goes into production until you, the customer, has approved the proof. This method ensures that there are never any surprises, your final product will always be exactly as you expected it to be. (If you would like a physical sample of the product you are looking to imprint, we do offer free samples, but they will not be imprinted with your own artwork).

The image below breaks down your digital product proof.

Can I make my logo bigger than what the proof shows?

The image proof above features our Perk Up Coffee Mug with a dotted line around the art. This dotted line represents the maximum area that your imprint can take up. Our graphic artists maximize your artwork and text to make it fit on the item as large as possible. If the imprint isn’t big enough, a PPE can help you make adjustments to your artwork, or help you look for an alternative product that may offer a larger imprint area.

Can I print my full-color logo, or does it have to be one color?

Printing options will vary from item to item. While many items have a 1 or 2 color limit, we do have others that a full-color imprint is available on. If you are having trouble finding an item where a full-color imprint is available, look for assistance from a PPE. They will help you find an item with this potential that is within your budget.

Do you keep my artwork on file for future orders?

Yes, we do! We keep the art on file for about 2 years. If you have submitted artwork to us within that time frame, we can use it again for future orders or for a reorder.

As always, we are here to help you. Promotional product experts are available via live chat on the web, email, or phone. Do not hesitate to give us a shout if you have any questions at any  point during your experience with Crestline.
